Server Rules

1Respect Other Players

• Treat other players with basic respect.
• Harassment, bullying, discrimination, and targeted abuse are not allowed.
• Friendly banter and jokes are allowed, but do not take things too far.
• Do not intentionally create conflicts with players outside of normal gameplay.

2Survival Gameplay

SclappSMP is a survival server. Play the game normally and enjoy the server.

• PVP, stealing, and griefing are allowed.
• Unclaimed builds and items can be stolen or damaged by other players.
• If you want something protected, use the claim system.

3Claims

• Respect the claim system.
• Do not attempt to bypass or exploit claims.
• Do not use glitches or exploits to access protected areas.
• Items and builds inside properly claimed areas are protected from other players.
• Staff may investigate disputes involving claims.

4PVP

• PVP is allowed unless an area has specific restrictions.
• Traps, ambushes, and other legitimate survival tactics are allowed.
• Do not use cheats, exploits, or glitches to gain an unfair advantage in PVP.
• Do not repeatedly target or harass a player outside of normal gameplay.
• Do not use elytra, ender pearls, or any other ways of fleeing from a fight, that's just lame.

5Stealing and Griefing

• Stealing and griefing are allowed in unclaimed areas.
• Do not use exploits or bugs to steal from players or bypass claims.
• Players are responsible for protecting their own builds and belongings using the claim system.
• Staff will generally not restore items or builds lost through legitimate stealing or griefing.

6Cheating

• Hacked clients and unfair cheats are prohibited.
• X-ray, freecam, seed crackers and similar unfair modifications are prohibited.
• Duplication exploits are prohibited.
• Do not abuse bugs or glitches for personal gain.
• Legitimate Minecraft mechanics and farms are allowed unless specifically restricted.

7Chat

• Do not spam or flood the chat.
• Do not advertise other Minecraft servers without permission.
• Do not post hateful, discriminatory, or excessively offensive content.
• Do not impersonate staff.
• Keep conversations reasonably appropriate for the server.

8Server Performance

• Do not intentionally lag, crash, or disrupt the server.
• Excessively large redstone machines, entity farms, or other lag-producing setups may be removed if they negatively affect server performance.
• Do not intentionally create unnecessary amounts of entities or items.

9Bugs and Exploits

• Report serious bugs and exploits to staff.
• Do not intentionally abuse bugs or exploits for an advantage.
• Any items or progress obtained through serious exploits may be removed.

10Staff

• Follow reasonable instructions from staff.
• Do not interfere with staff carrying out their duties.
• Do not impersonate staff.
• If you disagree with a punishment, use the appropriate appeal process instead of arguing with staff in chat.

11Common Sense

• Not every situation can be covered by a specific rule.
• Staff may take action against behavior that clearly goes against the spirit of SclappSMP.
• Attempting to exploit loopholes in the rules may still result in punishment.
• Use common sense and remember that there are other players on the server.
